6 Philly Exercise Classes for Mom and Baby

Outdoors with your stroller or in the yoga studio on a mat, Philly parents can get fit with their little ones by their side. So whether you're a mom who wants to focus on her health for the first time or you're looking to return to your fitness routine post-pregnancy, there are loads of classes available in the Philly area.

If you want to work out alongside your baby or if you'd like to take advantage of childcare options and have a little time to recharge on your own, you've got options! Read on for our top picks for baby- and kid-friendly fitness classes. Grab a mat and a water bottle and get going!

Y2BFit - Philadelphia
Y2BFit hosts BYO Baby Barre, a "bring your own baby" barre class for moms once a week. If you're unfamiliar with barre, it's combination of postures and movements borrowed by disciplines, including ballet, yoga, and Pilates. If you'd like to get in a workout on your own, they do offer childcare services for three classes throughout the week. Drop-in classes will run $18 or you can buy a 10-pack for $150.

Mama's Wellness Joint - Philadelphia

Mama's Wellness Joint offers classes for moms, prenatal through young kids. Bring your baby for a postpartum rebuild class, a Mommy & Me class for pre-crawlers or the older kids for a movement class. The facility even hosts kids birthday yoga parties. Drop in for a 60-minute Mommy & Me class with your kiddo for $17 or a 45-minute Mama's Movin class for $15 (one child's admission included; $5 for each additional child) or pre-pay for five classes for $65.

Fit4Mom - Various Locations
Fit4Mom specializes in prenatal to postnatal exercise programming, creating a community so moms feel supported as they get moving on the fitness journey after baby. Offerings such as Stroller Strides, Stroller Barre, and Run Club all get moms outside with their kiddos. Pricing varies by which program you'd like to join, but for Stroller Strides, for example, the cost is $65 per month for unlimited classes and requires a minimum three-month commitment.

Hatch - Wayne
Pre-crawlers are welcome with their moms to Hatch's Mommy and Me Bootcamp and Mommy and Me Yoga classes, while for other classes, such as Postnatal Barre and Postnatal Bootcamp classes require baby to be in their car seat. The workouts vary from strength based to strengthening the core. There are several pricing plans, including a monthly membership where all classes are free, or $23 for a drop-in.

HoliMomma - New Jersey
HoliMomma offers Mom and Baby Yoga classes each week that helps strengthen the core and pelvic muscles, relieve tension, and create a support system for women as they navigate motherhood. Newborns through pre-crawlers are invited to attend this classes. There's also a monthly Family Fun Yoga offering the children aged 2 through 6 enjoy. An emphasis on fun, singing, and movement gets even the older kids involved.   Single drop-in classes cost $15, and you can buy a 5-class pass for $70 or a 10-class pass for $130.

Born to Burpee- Havertown ​
Born to Burpee welcomes kids of any age as Mom gets in a serious workout. The boot camp style workouts are held indoors at a facility in Wynnewood during the winter or when the weather is too hot or wet and outdoors the rest of the time in Havertown. Moms can expect to do HIIT (high intensity interval training) over the course of the 45-minute class. The cost to drop-in is $22.
