Every day is awesome in New York City, but especially this one:
I am born and raised in Greenwich Village and enjoyed Washington Square Park when I was a child. In fact my school was down the block and it was our gym for gym time. It was a much different time and place then, but still had all the charm. I've enjoyed the fountain forever.
My son has some developmental delays and was always afraid of the fountain when we'd walk through the park. I never gave up and last week we went and I jumped into the water. To my delight he followed and the rest is history. He had such a great time and now we go almost every day.
Where else besides Washington Square Park can you get the diversity, beauty and culture all in one place, with a great big baby pool (basically) right in the center? I am proud to bring my son to a place that meant so much to me and even prouder of him. Enjoy our pictures.
