Mostly Free and Fun Things To Do In CT With Kids This Weekend March 23-24: Easter Egg Hunts, Parades, Touch-A-Truck & Fairs

3/21/13 - By Pam Hegner

While I lived down south, spring meant pretty pastel sundresses and hiding eggs for the kids in fluffy, green grass. Connecticut welcomed the new season this week with a dose of the white stuff, so hopefully the snow can be cleared in time for the full slate of fun this weekend. Actually, some events may have been postponed so check with venues before venturing out.

Proceeds benefit local children's non-profits who have helped Johnny's family. Madison hosts the Leprechaun 5-Miler, a flat, beautiful course along the coast. A two-mile walk, kids fun run and costume contest are also included, and the race funds go towards child abuse prevention.
