Happy 2014 Long Island families! This weekend, two new shows hit the stage. Enjoy the adventures of Peter Pan & Wendy at the Bayway Arts Center, and Dorothy Meets Alice: The Wizard Of Wonderland at Studio Theatre. Feeling more crafty? Head to the Children's Museum of the East End to make a rubber band powered car, or put those investigative skills to the test and make snow. Get in touch with nature at the South Fork Natural History Museum & Nature Center by discovering how birds use their beaks, or by going on a winter field walk. Ready to make a New Year's resolution of leading an active lifestyle? Then check out the Family & Fitness Open House at the Sid Jacobson Jewish Community Center. Meet at the field behind the South Fork Natural History Museum & Nature Center to look for signs of animal activity, hidden insects, and what types of foods birds are dining on.

Family & Fitness Open House - East Hills
Check out the fitness center at the Sid Jacobson Jewish Community Center. While there, enjoy playtime in the gym, crafts, community service projects, and sports.

Young Naturalists Club - Sayville
This club, which meets at the Audubon Society Headquarters at Brookside County Park, focuses on learning about nature and stewardship of a natural area. Kids get to participate in a wide variety of hands-on activities.

Trout Birthday Party - Cold Spring Harbor
Head to the Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery & Aquarium to celebrate the birth of the hatchery's baby trout. Enjoy cake and sing Happy Birthday Baby Trout.

Trusty Tool Belt - Garden City
